About This Role
Overview
We are hiring a Infectious Disease Specialist diagnoses, treats, and prevents complex infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.
They manage high-risk cases (e.g., HIV, tuberculosis, tropical diseases), lead antibiotic stewardship, and implement infection control protocols, often working in multidisciplinary teams in hospitals or clinics. موقع تنقيب +4
Core Responsibilities
- **Patient Diagnosis & Care:**
- Evaluate patients, order tests (microbiological/serological), interpret complex diagnostic imaging/data, and manage treatment plans.
- **Specialized Treatments:**
- Manage patients with complex, rare, or multi-drug resistant infections, including immunocompromised and post-transplant individuals.
- **Antimicrobial Stewardship:**
- Implement strategies to rationalize antibiotic use, reducing resistance.
- **Infection Control:**
- Develop and enforce safety, hygiene, and infection prevention protocols to protect patients and staff, particularly during outbreaks.
- **Consultation & Collaboration:**
- Provide expertise to other departments (ICU, surgery, paediatrics) regarding infection management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- **Education:**
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
- **Training:**
- Residency in Internal Medicine or Paediatrics followed by a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases.
- **Certification:**
- Board Certification in Infectious Diseases (or equivalent, such as Royal College or American Board) is mandatory.
