Full-time Consultant Gastroenterologist role with a healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia.
The role focuses on gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary care, advanced endoscopy, and high clinical standards in a multidisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and ERCP if applicable.
- Interpret imaging, laboratory results, and endoscopic findings to create evidence-based treatment plans.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and participate in on-call duties as required.
- Collaborate with specialists, educate patients, and maintain records under Saudi healthcare regulations.
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits, patient safety, and staff training and mentorship.
- Stay current with gastroenterology advances and incorporate new techniques into practice.
Qualifications and requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution and board certification in Gastroenterology.
- At least five years of post-qualification experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy.
- Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
- Hold or be eligible for SCFHS licensing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced clinical environment.
