About This Role

Position Title: Construction Sales Officer 

Department: Sales & Business Development 

Reports To: Sales Manager / Director of Business Development

Role Summary

We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Construction Sales Officer to join our team. In this role, you won't just be "selling"; you’ll be building the foundation for our future projects. You will act as the bridge between our technical capabilities and our clients' visions, identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and securing contracts for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

The ideal candidate has a "boots-on-the-ground" mentality combined with a polished corporate presence—someone who is equally comfortable on a dusty job site as they are in a boardroom pitching to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and site visits.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, architects, developers, and subcontractors to ensure a steady pipeline of referrals.
  • Project Bidding & Proposals: Collaborate with the estimating and engineering teams to prepare competitive bids, detailed proposals, and contract documents.
  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and local real estate developments to pivot sales strategies effectively.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, highlighting our technical expertise, safety record, and value proposition.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, leads, and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms for the company while meeting client expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the construction, building materials, or real estate sectors.
  • Technical Savvy: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills; ability to translate technical jargon into "client-friendly" language.
  • Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently to various site locations and client offices.
