Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience managing civil and landside utility projects, preferably in port or maritime environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Abu Dhabi Ports regulations and local construction codes.
  • Proven track record of delivering large‐scale projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team‐management skills with the ability to motivate diverse on‐site personnel.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‐engagement abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and BIM tools.
  • Solid understanding of contract administration, procurement processes, and risk management.
  • Professional engineering licensure (e.g., PE, UAE professional registration) is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all civil infrastructure and landside utility construction activities on Abu Dhabi Ports sites.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, Abu Dhabi Ports regulations, and project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Control project budgets, track expenditures, and drive cost‐effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Manage and mentor subcontractors and on‐site teams, fostering a collaborative and high‐performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and enforce quality assurance/quality control procedures.
  • Liaise with client representatives, design engineers, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and contractual issues.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Oversee procurement, material handling, and logistics to ensure timely availability of resources.
  • Implement and maintain robust documentation, record‐keeping, and handover processes for project close‐out.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
