We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Construction Lead (Structural) . This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.

Title: Construction Lead (Structural) Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)

Location: Oman (Sohar) Onshore

Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 10 hours per day

• Experience Required—

Key Job Accountabilities

• Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication process.
• Manages and ensures successful execution of CP Jackets/Topsides fabrication project components to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others, as appropriate).
• To supervise and control the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the Jackets/Topsides fabrication, Mechanical Completion to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.
• To check the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all technical requirements, of the deliverables provided by the Engineering Team Contractor.
• To review deviations to client construction standards for comments with Contractors / Subcontractors input, to deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, precom/com dossiers, as built …) for the construction activities.
• Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
• Review Contractor’s progress reports and reports for all the activities, highlighting critical problems, drifts and dysfunctions if any.
• To Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for all structure subject, MC, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting. Bring execution solutions that favour safe construction execution and transition to Commissioning activities.
• To lead and contribute to Risk Assessments kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings, technical meeting etc. as required in accordance with Company's referential.
• To participate to REX and Lessons Learned for the Company. Responsible for implementation of lessons learned from previous projects with client and/or Contractor, as well as capturing and communicating construction lessons learned for the current project.

Qualifications --Minimum Requirements--

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering

Knowledge and Key Skills

• 8 years overall experience with Large Jacket Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including strong experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for technical education.
• Good knowledge of Project Execution procedures and field management and techniques including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions.
