Construction Director

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction from mobilization through completion and handover; ensure work meets approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract requirements.
• Monitor progress and delays, implement corrective actions, and coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities.
• Supervise construction managers, site engineers, and project personnel; oversee structural, architectural, MEP, and finishing work.
• Manage manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources to optimize productivity and control costs.
• Review methodologies, method statements, shop drawings, and technical submissions; ensure QA/QC, health and safety, and environmental compliance.
• Monitor subcontractors, resolve site issues, minimize rework, and prepare progress reports, schedules, resource plans, and updates.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• More than 10 years of UAE construction management experience, particularly on high-rise residential building projects.
• Proven experience leading large construction teams and managing complex building projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural works, architectural finishes, MEP coordination, construction planning, and project execution.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, cost control, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE construction experience is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 20,000–AED 25,000 per month.
