Education And Experience Requirements

· High school or similar educational qualification.

· 2-3 years prior hotel experience required in a similar role.

Scope and General Purpose of Job:

· To be the main point of focus for all guests, to help maintain a professional image of the hotel by being attentive to the services offered.

· To be dedicated and focused on giving personalised care to all guests.

To carry the personal effects of guests visiting the hotel.

· To serve the guest cars on the best and fastest ways without endangering their vehicles.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Receives guests in a professional and friendly manner, satisfying guest expectations from arrival through to departure.
  • Maintains an awareness of the car park and the Front entrance at all times.
  • Greets guests upon arrival, opening the car door and assisting them into the hotel.
  • Deals promptly, efficiently and pleasantly with all guests
  • Regularly checks the hotel entrance area, ensuring it is clean and tidy.
  • Keeps car park and front driveway is kept clean and tidy ensuring no undesirable cars are present.
  • Issue car tickets after clarifying if guest in house or walk in guests.
  • Ensure no cars are parked in hotel parking by guest himself.
  • Communicate with bell desk team.
  • Bids farewell to hotel guests, and assists with luggage.
  • Co-operates in the performance of any reasonable task requested by the management.
  • Adheres to all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Maintains effective communication with all related departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Maintains the daily function board and Opera notice board.
  • Ensures Valet desk is clean tidy and well organize
  • Maintains regular and effective liaison between other departments with particular emphasis on Front Office.
  • Cooperates in the performance of any reasonable task requested by company manager, executives or guests.
  • Maintains an up to date knowledge of the hotel and local services supplying information and responding to guest queries.
  • Maintains awareness of guest profile through Opera guest profile system.
  • Ensures that the guest luggage is carried from arrival point to room and from room to departure point on check out.
  • Deals promptly, efficiently and pleasantly with incoming calls.
  • Handles all messages, mail and packages for guests and staff ensuring they are delivered at the appropriate time in a professional manner.
  • Delivers morning newspapers to rooms.
  • Delivers guest messages and other deliveries immediately without delay in a professional manner.
  • Maintains the daily function board and Opera notice board.
  • Suggestively sells Hotel promotion, outlets and facilities at all times.
  • Regularly checks the lobby area, ensuring it is clean and tidy.
  • Ensures Concierge desk and store room is clean tidy and well organized
  • Receives from the Night Manager Registration cards to be filed and placed in order according to the established procedure.
  • Establishes, promotes and maintains good public relations while meeting or exceeding guest expectations.
