Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Professor – School of Computing** to join a reputable higher education institution in Ajman.
The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in a relevant computing discipline and have a strong background in teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computing-related subjects.
- Develop, review, and enhance course curriculum in line with academic standards.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, dissertations, and research.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance to support their learning and career development.
- Participate in curriculum planning, accreditation, and quality assurance activities.
- Contribute to departmental committees and academic administration.
- Build partnerships with industry and academic institutions to enhance research and student opportunities.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
- Support the university's strategic goals through academic excellence, research, and community engagement.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a recognized university or higher education institution.
- Strong research profile with publications in indexed journals.
- Experience supervising postgraduate research projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with accreditation and quality assurance standards in higher education.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- Experience with outcome-based education (OBE) and curriculum development.
- Strong academic leadership and mentoring abilities.
