Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Computer Hardware Technician
with specialized knowledge in
gaming PC assembly, configuration, and optimization
.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building custom gaming PCs, diagnosing hardware issues, performing repairs, and ensuring top-tier performance for high-end systems.
You should have a passion for gaming hardware, up-to-date knowledge of the latest components, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, configure, and test custom-built gaming PCs according to client specifications.
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues including CPUs, GPUs, motherboards, RAM, PSUs, cooling systems, and storage devices.
- Install and configure operating systems, BIOS/UEFI, drivers, and essential gaming software.
- Optimize system performance for gaming, including overclocking and thermal management.
- Provide technical support to customers, both in-store and remotely.
- Maintain inventory of components and ensure quality control during builds.
- Stay updated on current trends in PC gaming hardware and emerging technologies.
- Offer guidance to customers on component selection based on their budget and gaming needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a hardware technician or PC builder, preferably in a gaming-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of PC hardware architecture, especially gaming-grade GPUs, CPUs, RAM, cooling systems, and storage solutions.
- Experience with cable management, RGB lighting setups, and aesthetic PC builds.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
