Hiring: Compounding Pharmacist – for Hospital Pharmacy (Dubai, UAE)

A renowned, multidisciplinary healthcare facility based in Dubai is seeking a dedicated, highly motivated, and experienced

Compounding Pharmacist

to join our expanding medical team.

We are committed to delivering the highest standards of personalized pharmaceutical care through advanced sterile and non-sterile compounding services, supporting both inpatient and outpatient clinical needs.

Position Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for the preparation and quality assurance of customized pharmaceutical formulations, ensuring compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and international compounding standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare customized pharmaceutical formulations, including
  • creams, ointments, capsules and sterile IV formulations
  • for hospital patients.
  • Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding in accordance with approved protocols and quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and traceability of all compounded medications.
  • Maintain compliance with DHA regulations, USP standards, and hospital quality assurance policies.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide individualized medication solutions.
  • Monitor inventory of pharmaceutical ingredients and compounding supplies while ordering the raw materials and final products and maintaining proper storage.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and pharmacy audits.

Requirements

  • **Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)**
  • from a recognized university.
  • A Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • **Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Compounding Pharmacist License**

  • Proven hands-on experience in the preparation of
  • creams, ointments, capsules and sterile IV formulations
  • .
  • **Minimum 3–5 years of compounding pharmacy experience**
  • , with substantial experience gained in a
  • large hospital in the UAE
  • .
  • Strong knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques, aseptic procedures, pharmaceutical calculations, and quality assurance standards.
  • Sound understanding of
  • USP , USP , and applicable UAE healthcare regulations
  • governing pharmaceutical compounding.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ethical, detail-oriented, and patient-focused approach with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
