About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Qatar tax laws, regulations issued by the General Tax Authority, and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and timely submission of tax returns, withholding tax filings, and statutory declarations.
- Monitor tax obligations and ensure accurate calculation and timely settlement.
- Support tax audits, regulatory reviews, and correspondence with authorities and external auditors.
- Maintain complete and accurate tax records, compliance documentation, and audit trails.
- Coordinate with internal departments to regulatory compliance.
- Monitor changes in tax and regulatory requirements and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
- Support the periodic review and update of tax and compliance procedures.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree - Finance/Taxation/Business Administration.
- Professional certifications in Taxation, Compliance, Accounting, or Finance (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CTA, or equivalent) are preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience of relevant experience.
Core Competencies & Skills
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience in Oracle EBS is a plus
- Language Proficiency – English - Spoken and Written (Proficiency in Arabic / Bilingual is a plus)
- Prior Experience in a governmental / semi government entity is a plus.
