Overview

Al Habtoor City Hotels is seeking an experienced, well-connected, and results-driven **Complex Assistant Director of Sales (ADOS) – GCC & Government** to lead business development initiatives across GCC markets, government entities, diplomatic missions, royal households, and VIP clientele.

This strategic role is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening key partnerships, and positioning the hotels as the preferred destination for government, diplomatic, and luxury travel segments.

Strategic Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government entities, ministries, semi-government organizations, embassies, consulates, diplomatic missions, royal courts, and family offices across the GCC.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within GCC, Government, Diplomatic, and VIP segments.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for high-profile clients, ensuring professionalism, discretion, and exceptional service standards.

Sales & Business Development

  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of GCC, Government, Diplomatic, and VIP accounts to achieve revenue and production targets.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and hotel site inspections.
  • Negotiate corporate, government, diplomatic, and group contracts, rates, and agreements.
  • Develop customized proposals for high-profile delegations, official visits, and VIP stays.
  • Represent Al Habtoor City Hotels at trade shows, networking events, roadshows, diplomatic functions, and industry gatherings.

Luxury Guest & VIP Experience Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with hotel operations, security, F&B, housekeeping, and executive teams to ensure seamless execution of VIP, diplomatic, and government-related stays.
  • Support the planning and management of high-profile visits requiring enhanced privacy, security, and personalized services.
  • Ensure all guest requirements are anticipated and delivered in line with luxury hospitality standards.

Market Intelligence & Account Management

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within GCC, Government, and Diplomatic sectors.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, sales activities, revenue forecasts, and business reports.
  • Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, International Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hospitality sales experience, with at least 3 years focused on GCC, Government, Diplomatic, or VIP segments.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets within luxury or upscale hospitality environments.
  • Established network of contacts within GCC markets, government organizations, embassies, diplomatic circles, and key decision-making offices.
  • Experience handling VIP, VVIP, UHNWI, and Government clientele.
  • Strong understanding of diplomatic protocol, cultural sensitivities, and luxury service standards.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language proficiency is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience within luxury hotels, palace-style hotels, or high-profile hospitality environments is a distinct advantage.
  • Pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
