Program Overview

Essential Functions

• Plan, organize, and implement enrichment, recreation, and education programs while staying current with trends and markets.
• Promote and publicize classes and activities.
• Hire, train, and supervise program staff and instructors.
• Facilitate community access to school facilities.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with district and community organizations.
• Ensure school building security during assigned hours.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in education, recreation, or a related field.
• Experience working with preschool through Grade 5 youth.
• Good computer skills using Internet search engines, email, and Microsoft Office software.
• Good communication, public relations, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and perform the physical, materials-handling, data, and people functions of the position.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and complete assigned workdays.
• The position requires physical work in the building and on site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to adult enrichment, park and recreation, or E-12 education.
• One to three years of experience implementing youth enrichment, recreation, or education programs.
• School-based setting, community education, instructor or volunteer recruitment, and diverse-population experience are preferred.
• Experience with Arux/Bound Registration software is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing setting is preferred.
