Role overview

The communications role aims to strengthen stakeholder trust and positive perception of Roche UAE and support partnerships and better patient outcomes.

Plans, creates, and delivers internal and external corporate communications aligned with organizational goals.

Works with the Pharma Middle East corporate communications network and external media and PR stakeholders as needed.

Major responsibilities

  • Support Roche UAE positioning, profiling, and market shaping by tracking company developments and market trends and finding actionable insights and opportunities.
  • Support strategic priorities, including system-shaping narratives and public health collaborations.
  • Activate local priorities and collaboration topics in line with affiliate priorities; keep communications integrated, focused, impactful, and measurable.
  • Work with government affairs, public health, access, and brand teams to strengthen stakeholder engagement and advance priorities consistently.
  • Develop engagement strategies to raise awareness and strengthen reputation with external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient organizations where applicable, and media.
  • Connect and mobilize employees behind the organization’s ambition and strategy.
  • Inspire commercial, medical, and access brand teams and support the Head of Strategy and other senior leaders.

Experience and qualifications

  • At least 4 years of media, PR, corporate communications, or public affairs experience in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry in the UAE.
  • Proven leadership in a non-hierarchical environment and ability to lead without authority.
  • Experience leading multi-stakeholder engagement and advocacy.
  • Cross-functional project management skills.
  • Fluent English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
