Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. At least five years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or commodity management, including direct ownership of mechanical commodities such as precision-machined parts, sheet metal and fabricated assemblies, castings, extrusions, injection-molded components, standard hardware, or related mechanical assemblies. Demonstrated success negotiating supplier contracts and long-term agreements and delivering year-over-year cost reductions. Strong should-cost modeling and data-analysis skills, with working knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, technical drawings and specifications, and tooling economics. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial equipment, or hardware-driven industry with complex mechanical components and assemblies. Familiarity with new product introduction, design for manufacturability, value engineering, and design-for-cost or design-for-supply principles. Professional certification such as CPSM, C.P.M., APICS, or CPIM. Experience managing global suppliers across multiple regions. For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is $108,000-$139,000 which does not include variable incentive pay. This range will represent a good-faith estimate for this position.
