Commodity Manager Ground Segment

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary company entry point for Ground Segment commodity products and services, including antennas, services, IT infrastructure, and software.
• Contribute to Ground Segment multifunctional and multidisciplinary teams.
• Establish, implement, and improve commodity strategy in line with Airbus Procurement policies.
• Conduct market analysis, including global sourcing and offsets, and manage sourcing activities and contracts.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and monitor and improve supplier performance.
• Lead value-creation projects for product and service innovation.
• Manage supply-chain risk across the Ground Segment.

Qualifications and clearance

• Proven strategic sourcing, commodity management, and contract negotiation experience.
• Aerospace, defense, or high-tech engineering experience is desirable.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder networks.
• Analytical ability in market analysis, risk assessment, and value-creation work.
• Strong communication and supplier relationship-building skills.
• Must have or be able to obtain UK Eyes Only SC Security Clearance through the UKIC process.
