Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commis Pastry Chef to join a luxury hospitality team.

The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and bakery products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, hygiene, and guest satisfaction expected in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and bakery products.
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Support daily pastry operations, including mise en place and stock management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commis Pastry Chef or similar role.
  • Mandatory experience in a luxury hotel, luxury resort, fine dining restaurant, or upscale hospitality establishment.
  • Basic knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert presentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
