Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commis Pastry Chef to join a luxury hospitality team.
The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and bakery products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, hygiene, and guest satisfaction expected in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and bakery products.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Support daily pastry operations, including mise en place and stock management.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commis Pastry Chef or similar role.
- Mandatory experience in a luxury hotel, luxury resort, fine dining restaurant, or upscale hospitality establishment.
- Basic knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert presentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
