Recruiting a Commis Cook - Pastry responsible for preparing food for patient tray lines, cafeteria service, and hospital functions.
Main duties
- Prepare sufficient quantities of quality food for all service requirements, including patient trays, cafeteria service, and hospital functions.
- Prepare and cook full-course meals and individual dishes, including food for customers with allergies or intolerances.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to reduce food waste.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment and maintain an orderly section according to food safety standards.
- Store and label food according to HACCP requirements, including freshness, handling, serving, and storage temperatures.
- Use knowledge of patient age-specific needs in performing duties.
- Supervise kitchen team members and helpers; maintain inventory and records for food, supplies, and equipment.
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.
Role requirements
- Follow standardized recipes and portioning and comply with food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
- Prepare food safely for patients, cafeteria service, and hospital functions, accounting for age-specific needs and food allergies or intolerances.

- Work location is in person.
