Commis III - Outisde Catering

Position summary

Kitchen duties

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food; wash and peel fresh produce; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists; prepare cold foods.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food for doneness and monitor food quality.
• Set up and break down the workstation and serve correct portions in appropriate receptacles.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.

Safety, teamwork, and physical duties

• Follow company and safety and security procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality standards.
• Communicate professionally, build positive working relationships, and support colleagues in shared goals.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
• The role involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and movement of objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred qualifications and experience

• At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified as required.
