Commis II - Assembly

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned products and activities following senior staff guidance.
• Support Commis I duties, including final processing, cooking, dishing, and cutting as applicable.
• Check food items received from Commis III against specifications.
• Handle and store food as directed; arrange and dish menu items according to hygiene and safety procedures.
• Learn area products, processes, menus, ingredients, and equipment.
• Maintain kitchen, storage, chiller, and freezer hygiene and cleanliness.
• Share cost-saving ideas and report equipment faults or damage.
• Follow quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum Senior Secondary School certificate.
• At least 1 year of culinary experience, including apprenticeship or industrial training.
• Active listening and learning, ability to work under pressure, organization, attention to detail, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, and multitasking.
