Position summary

Food preparation and kitchen duties

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, storing, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing foods.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test foods for doneness and monitor food quality during preparation.
• Set up and break down the workstation and serve food in appropriate portions and receptacles.
• Wash and disinfect the kitchen, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.

Safety and team standards

• Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance, protect company assets, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, listen and respond to coworkers, and support common team goals.
• Meet quality expectations and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Physical requirements

• Able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or a full work shift.
• Able to reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop.
• Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
