About This Role
Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated Commis I for a luxury hospitality property in Doha.
Responsible for assisting in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs.
The role includes basic cutting, cooking, and mise en place tasks while ensuring hygiene, food safety, and kitchen standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under senior chefs
- Prepare mise en place and daily kitchen requirements
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP standards
- Support kitchen operations and minimize food waste
- Ensure proper storage and FIFO system adherence
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years as a Commi l in a luxury hospitality sector
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment
- Understanding of food safety and HACCP standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and willingness to learn
Education
- Diploma (Required)
Experience
- Commi I in a luxury hospitality sector: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification
- Culinary Arts or Food Production certificate (Required)
