Overview
We are seeking a motivated Commis to join our professional kitchen team in a private property.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Chef de Partie and Head Chef to prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about food, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities

- Assist with daily food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Prepare basic dishes and components to the specification of senior chefs.
- Maintain consistent portion control and presentation standards.
- Ensure mise en place is complete and stations are well organised.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Support senior chefs during service, including plating and garnishing.
- Follow recipes and menu specifications, adapting to menu changes when required.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP documentation.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in training and development.
