Role overview

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and shred fruits, vegetables, and meats according to recipes and senior chefs' instructions.
• Keep the assigned station clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift, following food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP.
• Assist Commis 1, Commis 2, and Chef de Partie with cooking, plating, and food service during peak periods.
• Receive, check, and properly store food deliveries and stock using FIFO principles.
• Work with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth, timely service.

Requirements and qualifications

• Zero to one year of professional commercial kitchen experience, or formal Culinary Arts certification or degree.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with fundamental cooking techniques; strong interest in food and hospitality.
• Punctual and reliable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift heavy kitchen supplies as needed.
• Good English communication skills.
