About This Role
Overview
We are looking for a skilled Commi 1 Chef to join our catering company.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing authentic South -dishes and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic dishes (Idli, Dosa, Vada, Sambar, Chutneys, Curries, Rice items, etc.).
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards.
- Manage mise-en-place and maintain kitchen readiness for events and catering orders.
- Follow standard recipes and maintain consistency in food preparation.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness as per food safety guidelines.
- Support the team in bulk cooking for catering events.
& Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Commi 1 or similar role cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of traditional cooking methods and ingredients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume catering kitchen.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and event schedules.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,800.00 per month
