Overview
Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.
Job Purpose
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis I to join our fine-dining culinary team in a luxury hotel environment.
The ideal candidate will support senior chefs in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie in daily food preparation and service
- Prepare and present dishes according to fine-dining and luxury brand standards
- Ensure mise en place is prepared efficiently and on time
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards strictly
- Assist with stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients
- Support the team during service to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs
Qualifications & Competencies
- Previous experience as Commis I or Commis II in a fine-dining restaurant or luxury hotel
- Basic culinary education or professional kitchen training preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
