Commercial & Trading Analyst

Role overview

Workplace

• This is a hybrid position requiring work on site three times per week and from home twice per week.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales, margin, profitability and revenue performance to provide commercial insights.
• Produce reports and conduct pricing, competitor and supplier performance analysis.
• Support product launches, category reviews, forecasting and budgeting.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues.
• Produce reporting, dashboards and KPI scorecards.
• Monitor category and supplier performance and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity and effective stakeholder communication.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support data-driven decision-making.

Key skills required

• Experience in commercial and category analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Effective negotiation skills and a willingness to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
• Strong commercial acumen and sound business knowledge.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, organisation and time management.
• Collaborative approach and dedication to fulfilling obligations.
