We deliver a complete range of analytical services including laboratory management, onsite services, and sample preparation.
We are currently seeking a Commercial & Tender Coordinator who will be responsible for managing the tender process, preparing bid documents, providing administrative support, and conducting market analysis to support our commercial activities within Africa.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the entire tender process from initial identification to submission
- Gather and compile all necessary documentation and information required for tender submissions
- Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and deadlines
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and inputs
- Prepare and format bid documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Develop compelling and competitive proposals that meet client specifications
- Review and edit bid documents to ensure clarity and consistency
- Maintain a repository of standard bid templates and documentation
- Provide administrative support to the commercial team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence
- Maintain organized records and files related to tenders and bids
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and other commercial materials
- Handle general administrative duties as required
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends
- Analyze market data
- Monitor competitor activities and provide insights to the commercial team
- Prepare market analysis reports and presentations
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of local market conditions and regulations in Africa
- Familiarity with project management tools and software (an advantage)
Training & Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field
Experience Required
- Proven experience in tender management, bid preparation, and administrative support
- Experience in the mining or construction industry
Physical Requirements
- Must be fit and able to fulfil the inherent requirements of the job
- Ensured necessary vaccinations are kept updated
- Willingness to travel and work site hours/days as required
