Overview

MSALABS is a global provider of geochemical laboratory services for the exploration and mining industries.

We deliver a complete range of analytical services including laboratory management, onsite services, and sample preparation.

We are currently seeking a Commercial & Tender Coordinator who will be responsible for managing the tender process, preparing bid documents, providing administrative support, and conducting market analysis to support our commercial activities within Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the entire tender process from initial identification to submission
  • Gather and compile all necessary documentation and information required for tender submissions
  • Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and deadlines
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and inputs
  • Prepare and format bid documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Develop compelling and competitive proposals that meet client specifications
  • Review and edit bid documents to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Maintain a repository of standard bid templates and documentation
  • Provide administrative support to the commercial team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence
  • Maintain organized records and files related to tenders and bids
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and other commercial materials
  • Handle general administrative duties as required
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends
  • Analyze market data
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide insights to the commercial team
  • Prepare market analysis reports and presentations

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of local market conditions and regulations in Africa
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software (an advantage)

Training & Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in tender management, bid preparation, and administrative support
  • Experience in the mining or construction industry

Physical Requirements

  • Must be fit and able to fulfil the inherent requirements of the job
  • Ensured necessary vaccinations are kept updated
  • Willingness to travel and work site hours/days as required
