Role overview

Responsibilities

• Implement market strategy to optimize growth opportunities, market share, and profit.
• Build customer relationships, negotiate commercial deals, and develop joint business plans with distributors and top customers.
• Prepare distributor quarterly business reviews with clear action plans.
• Generate customer-informed ideas and manage them through execution.
• Deliver volume, net sales, and market-share targets aligned with market strategy.
• Lead market forecast submissions.
• Implement an omnichannel strategy across e-commerce, on-trade, and off-trade.
• Lead internal and external stakeholder relationships, especially distributor partnerships.
• Support distributor negotiations and secure access to depletion and relevant market data.
• Propose regional deals for Diageo EEME, leveraging on-trade groups operating across EEME countries.

Experience and skills

• 6–8 years of successful commercial-function experience in matrixed environments with FMCG multinational companies.
• Experience managing direct customers.
• Commercial insight and experience; cross-functional experience is preferable.
• Numerical and financial skills.
• Ability to persuade, influence, and build credibility across levels and functions.
• Strong analytical, persuasive selling, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• Track record executing commercial strategy competitively while maintaining strong brand presence and leadership.
