Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Manager Civil role based in Abu Dhabi.
The Commercial Manager Civil will oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of civil construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing tenders, contracts, variations, and claims, as well as managing procurement in coordination with project teams and suppliers.
The role involves monitoring project financial performance, supporting contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations, and client requirements.
The Commercial Manager Civil will collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and senior leadership to optimize profitability, manage risks, and support timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong Project Management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of civil construction projects.
- Experience with Infrastructure projects and related civil works, preferably in buildings, industrial facilities, and mixed-use developments.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management and related drainage and utility systems for civil and infrastructure projects.
- Proven Team Leadership abilities, including managing multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Inspection and quality control experience to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and contract requirements.
- Solid understanding of contract administration, cost control, and commercial risk management in the construction sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Familiarity with UAE construction regulations, local authority requirements, and standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC) is preferred.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with proficiency in relevant project and cost management software.
