Job Summary

The Commercial Director at DirectFN is responsible for leading and growing DirectFN's commercial operations within Saudi Arabia — the company's home market and largest revenue base.

This role drives the KSA revenue strategy, manages key client relationships with leading Saudi financial institutions, and oversees the local commercial team.

The role works closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Product, Delivery, Marketing, Finance, and Government Relations stakeholders to ensure DirectFN remains the preferred capital markets technology and financial content partner for Saudi Arabia's rapidly evolving financial sector under Vision 2030's Financial Sector Development Programme.

The position carries full responsibility for commercial growth, strategic partnerships, client retention, revenue expansion, and market positioning across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

1. KSA Revenue Strategy & Growth

  • Define and execute DirectFN's commercial strategy for the Saudi Arabian market.
  • Set and manage KSA revenue targets and forecasts.
  • Develop go-to-market plans for new products and solutions.
  • Identify strategic growth sectors and cross-selling opportunities.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build executive-level relationships with key Saudi financial institutions.
  • Lead account reviews, renewals, and strategic engagements.
  • Manage enterprise negotiations and strategic proposals.
  • Represent DirectFN in market forums and industry events.

3. Regulatory & Market Intelligence

  • Maintain deep knowledge of CMA regulations and Tadawul developments.
  • Identify opportunities arising from market and regulatory changes.
  • Monitor competitor activities and fintech trends.

4. Commercial Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the KSA commercial team.
  • Establish KPIs and performance management processes.
  • Mentor and coach commercial staff.

5. Operational & Strategic Alignment

  • Collaborate with Product and Technology teams on market requirements.
  • Coordinate with Delivery and Support teams for client success.

6. Reporting & Governance

  • Provide regular commercial and pipeline reports to the CCO.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, pricing, and contract standards.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum 12 years of commercial experience in fintech, capital markets technology, or financial services in Saudi Arabia, with at least 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role.

○ Deep knowledge of the Saudi capital markets ecosystem, Tadawul, CMA regulations, and key financial institutions.

○ Strong network within Saudi Arabia's financial services and capital markets community.

○ Proven track record of revenue growth and major deal management in KSA.

○ Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).

○ Commercial Leadership: Drives KSA revenue through strategy, relationships, and direct sales leadership.

○ Client Management: Builds and sustains executive-level relationships with Saudi financial institutions.

○ Strategic Thinking: Identifies KSA market opportunities and translates them into commercial growth.

○ Team Leadership: Develops and motivates the KSA commercial team to deliver strong results.

○ Regulatory Awareness: Stays current on CMA, Tadawul, and Vision 2030 developments affecting DirectFN's business.
