This is not a typical commercial role.
This position carries full responsibility for sourcing, sales, and profitability in a lead recycling business operating in a highly competitive, supply-constrained market.
You will not be managing from a desk.
You will be expected to secure supply, close deals, and directly impact P &L.
What You Will Own
Secure ULAB (used lead-acid batteries) supply under tight market conditions
Execute below-market sourcing strategies
Structure and close long-term offtake agreements (local & export)
Optimize LME-linked pricing with margin expansion
Build and leverage supplier & buyer networks across regions
Identify arbitrage opportunities and respond to market shifts
Ideal Profile
You have operated in real market environments, not
just internal roles.
Typical backgrounds include:
Global metals trading houses (e.g., Glencore, Trafigura, Vitol)
Lead recycling/battery-related industries
Commercial leadership roles in non-ferrous metals
What Sets You Apart
Direct involvement in high-value deal execution.
Active network of suppliers and/or industrial buyers.
Ability to operate under supply pressure and volatility.
Strong commercial instinct beyond standard LME pricing.
This Role Is Not For
Purely operational plant managers
Internal or low-impact sales profiles
Candidates without direct deal exposure

Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be asked:
How would you secure supply below market price?
What would you do in a 30-day supply disruption?
How would you sell above LME benchmarks?
This role is not a traditional role
The role includes full responsibility for:
sourcing + sales + profitability
in a competitive and constrained market.
You will not be managing from a desk
but will be responsible for securing supply and closing deals.
Your Responsibilities
Secure supply of used batteries in competitive conditions
Execute purchase deals at prices below market
Sell lead under long-term contracts locally and export
Build a strong network of suppliers and buyers
Leverage market opportunities and achieve higher margins

Real market experience, not just internal management
Background in:
Metals trading
Recycling
Or non-ferrous metals sales
