Commercial Director
to lead the Company's commercial strategy, business development, contracts, tendering, and strategic partnerships.

Role Description
The Commercial Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in
Makkah, Saudi Arabia
.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the Company's commercial strategy to achieve sustainable revenue growth and strengthen its market position.
The role oversees business development, client relationship management, strategic partnerships, tendering, commercial pricing, contract negotiations, and commercial governance.
The Commercial Director will lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, manage a strong pipeline of current and future projects, and ensure the successful preparation of competitive bids and commercial proposals.
The successful candidate will also oversee contract administration, claims and variation management, commercial performance, and project commercial coordination while ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards and best commercial practices.
In addition, the role includes developing commercial policies and procedures, preparing business plans and forecasts, monitoring commercial performance, and leading a high-performing commercial team to deliver the Company's strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
- Minimum
- 15 years of progressive commercial experience
- within the construction industry, including at least
- 5 years in a senior leadership role
- .
- Proven experience in business development, commercial strategy, tendering, pricing, contract management, and strategic partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial negotiations, claims management, and
Fidic
- principles.
- Demonstrated success in securing major projects and building long-term relationships with government, semi-government, and private sector clients.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary commercial teams.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is highly desirable.
