Role Description
The Commercial Analyst / Pricing Analyst / Revenue Analyst is a contract, remote role responsible for supporting data-driven commercial decisions.
Day-to-day tasks include analyzing pricing and revenue data, building and maintaining financial and commercial models, and evaluating margins, profitability, and customer segments.
The role involves preparing reports and dashboards for management, identifying opportunities to optimize pricing and revenue, and supporting the development of commercial strategies for Pan-African logistics and travel services.
The analyst will collaborate with finance, sales, operations, and customer service teams to validate assumptions, refine pricing policies, and improve overall commercial performance.
The individual will also assist with forecasting, scenario analysis, and monitoring key performance indicators to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including data analysis, quantitative modeling, and attention to detail.
- Candidates should possess Commercial skills related to pricing, market analysis, and revenue optimization.
- Candidates should possess Finance skills, such as understanding financial statements, cost structures, and profitability metrics.
- Candidates should possess Communication skills to present insights clearly, prepare concise reports, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service awareness to understand client needs, support commercial proposals, and contribute to long-term relationship building.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; experience with BI tools is an advantage).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in logistics, travel, or Pan-African trade environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
