Position overview
The Commercial Analyst joins the Commercial Team to develop reporting, analyse data and improve operational and financial performance through actionable insights.
What you will do
- Develop, maintain and automate performance dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse spend and commercial data, and extract and analyse data for ad hoc queries and reporting.
- Conduct commercial analysis, price modelling and cost analysis for tenders and existing operations.
- Maintain, audit and update customer and subcontractor rate cards and system pricing elements.
- Develop rate calculators and support Customer Service rate queries.
- Support management with data requests, queries and reports; evaluate and implement KPI methodologies.
- Analyse automotive industry trends and recommend business decisions.
- Administer systems, including rate uploads, invoice reconciliation and quote registration.
- Run stakeholder training workshops and align reporting across teams.
What you will bring
- At least 2–3 years' experience in a similar position.
- Experience extracting, cleansing, visualising and communicating data; strong analytical skills and ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative information.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, consistent reporting.
- Advanced computer literacy, including high-level expertise in Excel, Access and SQL.
- Hands-on commercial experience, interpersonal skills for working with all management levels, and experience with customer management or operational performance and improvement data.
- Ability to organise work independently and deliver quality results.
- SQL exposure is advantageous; transport and logistics industry exposure is desirable.
