Role overview

Essential functions

• Lead proposal bids and budget negotiations, synthesizing client requirements and internal data to determine resource and budget allocations.
• Review requests for proposal to ensure adequate information is available for budget preparation.
• Lead proposal strategy calls to discuss customer requirements and budget strategy development or modifications.
• Use the bidding system to ensure accurate bidding and timely data mapping in client grid templates.
• Finalize customer and internal documents and check accuracy, formatting, and contract compliance.
• Ensure proposals accurately reflect strategy discussions, meet client needs, convey value, and include relevant differentiators and success factors.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification.
• Previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the job, or equivalent working experience.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Strong organizational and project administration skills; ability to handle competing priorities and multiple tasks while maintaining quality.
• Strong communication skills to translate requirements for senior team members.
• Strong analytical skills to review and manipulate complex data sets; high proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis and data presentation.
• Confidence handling sensitive information and making sound recommendations.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot and interest in how they can improve productivity.

Workplace and conditions

• The description states standard office hours of 40 hours per week and an office environment.
• The office is based in Cambridge, with an expectation that the successful candidate can attend the site once a quarter.
