Collection Specialist

Manage outstanding accounts, support strong cash flow, minimise bad debt, and help resolve customer billing issues.
Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to support commercial outcomes and revenue integrity.
Report to the Accounts Receivable Collections Lead.
Key responsibilities
- Manage commercial accounts and follow up outstanding debts.
- Resolve account enquiries, disputes, billing issues, and unmatched payments; reconcile accounts.
- Coordinate collection activities with offshore counterparts and investigate complex account matters with internal teams.
- Monitor aged debt, identify risks, escalate high-risk accounts, and recommend recovery actions.
- Conduct account reviews, maintain accurate records and dispute trackers, and contribute to process improvements.
About you
- Experience in accounts receivable, collections, or healthcare billing is desirable; relevant accounts receivable experience in other industries is also welcomed.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills, and confidence with sensitive or difficult conversations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, accuracy, and a customer service focus.
