About the role
The Collections Assistant supports day-to-day follow-up of overdue service charge accounts, mainly through outbound calls and email.
The role reports directly to the Collections Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Call unit owners about outstanding service charges and secure payment commitments.
- Follow up on promised payment dates and confirm payments with Finance.
- Send reminders through the Community Portal and by email; manage the collections inbox and respond to owner inquiries.
- Provide statements, invoices, and payment details; update the collection tracker after every call and email.
- Escalate disputes and sensitive cases to the Collections Manager.
- Provide daily and weekly updates on calls made, payments secured, and pending follow-ups.
Requirements
- Experience in a call center, customer service, or help desk role, including outbound calling, follow-ups, and email handling.
- Excellent spoken and written English; professional telephone manner and calm handling of sensitive conversations.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word; strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Ability to work in a team and meet daily follow-up targets.
Nice to have and not required
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, UAE work experience, and exposure to community or property management are nice to have.
- Arabic and previous collections experience are not required; full training will be provided.
