Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must have an active coding credential & previous IR coding experience. Preference for multi-specialty surgical background.
- Profee CIRCC certified IR coder
- Responsible for abstracting, coding, and appropriately sequencing ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT codes and modifiers. This role may also include training and auditing.
- Responsible for the assignment of correct initial diagnosis and procedure codes, secondary diagnosis and procedure codes, and modifiers
- Maintain 95% quality score
- Former IR coding experience required. Preference for multi-specialty surgical coding experience including Neurosurgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Gastroenterology, Colorectal, Oral, General Surgery.
