Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED - Required
- Associate's Degree, Health Information Management - Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree, Health Information Management - Preferred
- 2 years Coding - Preferred
- CPC ( Certified Professional Coder) - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) - Required or
- CPC-A (Certified Professional Coder Associate) - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) - Required or
- CC S ( Certified Coding Specialist) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) - Required or
- CCS-P ( Certified Coding Specialist - Physician) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) - Required or
- CCA ( Certified Coding Associate)- American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) - Required or
- RHIA ( Registered Health Information Administrator) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) within 180 days - Preferred or
- RHIT ( Registered Health Information Technician) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) within 180 days - Preferred
