About This Role

Job Summary

The COD Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the corrugated pipe production line (DWC/COD), ensuring consistent product quality, optimal machine performance, and adherence to safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operation

  • Operate and monitor the corrugated pipe (COD/DWC) extrusion line.
  • Set and adjust machine parameters such as temperature, speed, pressure, and vacuum settings.
  • Ensure smooth and continuous production with minimal downtime.

2. Production Monitoring

  • Follow daily production plans and achieve assigned targets.
  • Monitor output, scrap levels, and line efficiency.
  • Report any deviations or production issues immediately.

3. Quality Control

  • Inspect finished products for:
  • Proper corrugation shape
  • Wall thickness
  • Surface quality
  • Coordinate with Quality Department for testing and compliance.
  • Ensure products meet company and industry standards.

4. Material Handling

  • Monitor raw material feeding (HDPE/PVC).
  • Ensure correct material usage and avoid contamination.
  • Coordinate with Mixing/Material team when required.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Identify and resolve minor machine or process issues.
  • Stop the machine safely in case of abnormal conditions.
  • Report major issues to Maintenance team promptly.

6. Safety Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report any safety hazards immediately.

7. Documentation

  • Record production data, downtime, and waste.
  • Maintain daily logs and shift reports accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Technical Certification (Mechanical / Electrical preferred)
  • 2–5 years experience in plastic manufacturing or extrusion lines
  • Experience in corrugated (DWC/COD) pipe production is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to work in shift-based environments
