About This Role
Responsibilities
- Determination of metocean conditions, coastal processes and project site conditions.
- A broad understanding of interdisciplinary coastal engineering and the role of applications of modelling.
- Familiar with coastal engineering design for structures including design of breakwaters, revetments, seawalls and scour protections systems.
- Understanding of sediment transport processes.
- Understanding and use of coastal numerical modelling such as e.g SWAN, MIKE 21 or Delft 3D.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards for coastal engineering and coastal structures.
- Ensure correct design approach as per QA/QC procedure and standards.
Experience
- Minimum of 5-8 years relevant experience.
- Experience in Dredging, Civil Marine industry is preferable.
- Coastal Design experience (Breakwater, Quay Wall, Coastal, Slipway, etc.) is mandatory.
Qualifications
- B Sc. in Coastal / Port and Harbor / Ocean Engineering or equivalent professional certificate.
- Additional qualifications desirable in multi-disciplinary engineering areas.
