Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site CNC Lathe Machine role based in Abu Dhabi Industrial City.
The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC lathe machines to produce steel tubes and pipes according to engineering drawings and production specifications.
Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, loading materials, adjusting machine settings, and performing basic programming or parameter changes as required.
The role involves inspecting finished parts for accuracy and quality, performing routine machine maintenance, and adhering to safety procedures and company standards.
The CNC Lathe Operator will collaborate with production supervisors, quality control personnel, and maintenance teams to ensure efficient, continuous, and safe operations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathe machines, including basic programming and adjustment of machining parameters.
- Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings, engineering specifications, and measurement data, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, material properties (especially steel), and standard industrial safety practices.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment, ideally in metal fabrication, pipe or tube production, or similar heavy industry.
- Attention to detail and quality, with the ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections and document production results accurately.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi Industrial City, including standing for extended periods and handling routine physical tasks related to machine operation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to machine issues, production deviations, or quality concerns in a timely manner.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with supervisors, maintenance, and quality control personnel.
- Vocational or technical certification in machining, CNC operations, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience as a CNC lathe operator or machinist in a similar industrial setting is an advantage.
