CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator -
based in Jebel Ali, Dubai
Job purpose
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating and programming CNC machines, performing laser cutting operations, and ensuring precision manufacturing in line with work orders and technical drawings.
The role also involves machine maintenance, nesting optimization, and supporting fabrication activities while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate and program CNC machines to perform machining tasks accurately
· Prepare, read, and interpret AutoCAD 2D/3D drawings for production
· Perform laser cutting operations with high precision and efficiency
· Execute and optimize nesting to reduce material wastage
· Develop and modify CNC programs as required for production processes
· Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues
· Monitor machine performance and replace worn-out parts when necessary
· Ensure all work is completed within specified timelines and quality standards
· Assist in inspection of incoming and outgoing materials
· Maintain records of machine operations, maintenance, and production output
· Follow all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and report any issues
· Provide technical support to team members when required
· Carry out additional fabrication or operational tasks as assigned
Key Competencies
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / CNC Machining or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in CNC operation and programming
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D)
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes
- Experience in laser cutting and nesting software/tools
- Good understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Planning and organizational ability
- Teamwork and communication skills
