CNC Data Programmer

An opportunity currently exists for an CNC Data Programmer , with a competitive hourly rate plus overtime and benefits (after a probationary period). The position is based in Nisku, Alberta.

The responsibility of the CNC Data Programmer is to prepare cnc files from in-house generated models for various steel fabrication equipment.

This includes the following:

Using Raptor to create cnc files from Tekla

Using Peddinest to nest cnc plate programs from Tekla

Using Tekla generated drawings to verify cnc files are accurate

Assist Purchasing department to prepare IFC drawing packages including material cutlists, construction drawings and other project documentation to the shops

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

A minimum of one (1) years of similar experience; ideally within a Structural Steel environment

Excellent computer skills; Tekla, Peddinest, Peddimat & Raptor experience is a strong asset

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience working independently and handling high volume work demands

Ability to multi task on various projects at the same time and manage the priorities

Should be extremely professional, reliable and organized

Ability to maintain a good working relationship across all levels
