CMM Programmer

Responsibilities

• Programming and operation of CMM Metrology equipment – Hexagon / PC-DIMIS. Renishaw Agility / Modus
• CMM process development and improvement
• Support project teams throughout product development
• Support and organise tool calibration to retain traceability & Maintain accurate logs of measured parts
• Share knowledge with metrology team to enhance overall team capabilities
• Essential skills
• Experience in CMM programming using Hexagon / PC-DIMIS. Renishaw Agility / Modus
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings / GD&T- Review engineering drawings for measurability/ inaccuracies and application – provide detailed feedback to engineering project teams
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
• Organised and able to work independently, but also to collaborate with a diverse, fast-moving team
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• High level of attention to detail and appreciation of need for robust and efficient metrology processes
• Experience working in high-accuracy engineering environment
• Desired skills
• Design and manufacture of jigs/ fixturing used for measurement – Fusion / Rhino
• Computer coding/ data analysis skills
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control/ Measurement Systems Analysis/ Gauge RR
• Willing to work flexible hours if required
