Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) - Cloud & AI Data

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Engage customer IT and business leaders to understand data estates, AI priorities, governance, success measures, and desired outcomes.
• Design secure, scalable Cloud & AI Data solutions; lead architecture, roadmaps, proofs of concept, pilots, and production milestones.
• Own technical delivery for dispatched engagements and align Azure consumption and customer success plans with CSAMs.
• Use and contribute reusable intellectual property, templates, frameworks, and agents to accelerate deployments and adoption.
• Provide delivery oversight and escalation support for Factory, Unified, and data acceleration engagements.
• Lead workload health, resiliency, sovereignty, security, capacity management, and optimization.
• Resolve technical blockers and adoption issues; relay customer and field feedback to product and engineering teams.
• Maintain expertise in platform priorities, trends, competitive insights, and evolving data, AI, and agent capabilities; share learnings and mentor others.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status screening; the posting describes residency and background screening conditions.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree plus 6+ years, or equivalent experience.
• Four or more years in a customer-facing role and four or more years working on technical projects.
• Relevant cloud, data, analytics, database, AI, or security technical certification.
• Experience with Azure data services, cloud security and architecture, data migration, data engineering, data modeling, ETL/ELT, analytics, governance, distributed computing, or DevOps/CI/CD.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; French communication skills are an asset.

Priority technologies

• Priority workloads include Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Purview, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cosmos DB, Microsoft IQ, and related AI capabilities.
• Preferred platform breadth includes AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse Analytics, and Data Factory.

Compensation

• Typical base pay range across Canada is CAD 96,000–177,600 per year.
