Role overview

Design and delivery responsibilities

• Support design workshops, gather customer technical requirements, document existing environments, and identify Kubernetes, storage, and backup integrations.
• Document storage and backup workflows, high availability and disaster recovery configurations, scalability plans, and networking and security considerations.
• Design, install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and Portworx solutions across customer environments, on-premises and in the cloud.
• Configure Portworx with storage platforms and support API and microservices deployments, monitoring, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows.

Customer support and collaboration

• Act as an initial point of contact for Portworx break/fix cases and enhancement requests, working with support and product engineering on resolution.
• Support pre-production validation and testing, remediate identified issues, and train customer teams in ongoing Portworx operations.
• Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to customer stakeholders and delivery teams; coordinate with architects, project managers, partners, and vendors.
• Contribute field experience to reusable delivery procedures, runbooks, and templates.

Experience and technical qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of hands-on production Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting experience, including building and operating containerized solutions.
• Requires DevOps experience, cloud-native knowledge, direct enterprise customer support experience, and clear technical communication.
• Requires Kubernetes expertise and proficiency with at least one orchestrator such as OpenShift, Rancher, Mirantis, or another platform.
• Requires Linux administration, networking fundamentals, software-defined storage knowledge, and familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, cloud IaaS, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Desirable additional skills

• CKA or CKAD certification or equivalent hands-on experience is desirable.
• Additional desirable experience includes scripting, virtualization, version control, monitoring and logging, security fundamentals, OpenStorage SDK, and highly available databases and data processing systems.
• Cloud or Portworx-related certifications are desirable.

Work style and logistics

• Strong troubleshooting discipline, attention to detail, communication, adaptability, and collaborative problem-solving are expected.
• Must already be based and eligible to work in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and be willing to travel to customer sites across EMEA and Everpure offices; travel may be 30% or more.
