Cloud Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems.
• Configure and monitor cloud infrastructure and manage deployment pipelines.
• Ensure reliable team access to data and services.
• Work with developers and operations staff to optimize performance, security, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot issues, automate routine tasks, and document architecture and processes.
• Recommend tools, technologies, and best practices for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Cloud and infrastructure skills, including major cloud platforms and provisioning scalable, secure environments.
• Software development skills, maintainable code, and CI/CD workflow support.
• Linux administration, including configuration, monitoring, and basic shell scripting.
• Database management, optimization, and security for relational or NoSQL stores.
• Problem solving, clear written and verbal communication, and ability to work independently.
• Infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and monitoring or alerting experience are beneficial.
• Relevant cloud certification or a related degree is preferred but not required.
