Cloud Engineer

About This Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Engineer with 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud architecture, deployment automation, security, monitoring, and operational support across enterprise environments. The role requires practical expertise in at least one major cloud platform and the ability to support scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services in line with business and technical requirements.
• Implement secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Manage cloud networking, identity and access management, storage, compute, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot incidents, and optimize system performance, availability, and cost.
• Support cloud migration initiatives from on-premises or other environments to the cloud.
• Collaborate with application, security, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth integration and operations.
• Apply cloud security best practices, governance controls, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical support and recommendations for continuous improvement of cloud environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, cloud infrastructure, or cloud operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Alibaba Cloud.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture principles, networking, virtualization, security, and high availability design.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, scripting, and automation tools.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and cost optimization in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Certification Requirement:

The candidate must hold at least one relevant cloud certification aligned with their practical experience, preferably at Architect level  from one of the following providers:

• AWS:  AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
• Microsoft Azure:  Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP):  Professional Cloud Architect
• Alibaba Cloud:  Alibaba Cloud Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

Preferred Skills:

• Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and governance
• Experience in enterprise-scale cloud environments
• Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
